Wayne and Rosemary began Lawrence Transport in November 1995 – forming a company in April 2004.

Creating Lawrence Transport was a natural evolution for Wayne, as he has been involved with the transport industry since 1968. This means that customers are able to benefit from his wealth of knowledge and experience to suit their individual needs.

A new business needs a good solid client, and for Lawrence Transport that staple customer was Humes Pipeline Systems. Wayne began delivering precast concrete and pipes for them in November 1995 with a 1978 Hiab 550aw Crane. Lawrence Transport still transport product for Humes, as one of their preferred carriers in the Canterbury region.

The company has since grown to a fleet of 5 Hiab trucks, 1 Curtainsider truck with a Tail Lift, as well as three 4-axle trailers.
